Not many people can be called a legend in their lifetime, but multi-Grammy Award-winning tenor saxophonist Doug Lawrence is worthy of the title. His playing has been featured alongside Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Sarah Vaughan, Nancy Wilson, Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, Dizzy Gillespie, Benny Goodman, Wild Bill Davis, and many more. He has performed in major concert halls and jazz clubs throughout the world and played for six U.S. presidents. We are honored to welcome him back to the Unit B stage for a special evening with acclaimed vocalist Hillary Smith. Hillary Smith is celebrated for her remarkable charisma, powerful stage presence, and extraordinary vocal range—from the most intimate ballad to the most electrifying blues and jazz performances. A favorite with audiences throughout the Southwest and beyond, she brings warmth, elegance, and soul to every song she sings. Together, Lawrence and Smith create an unforgettable musical experience, blending world-class musicianship with timeless songs from the Great American Songbook, jazz standards, blues classics, and beloved favorites. Backed by an exceptional rhythm section featuring Bob Fox on piano, John Trentacosta on drums, and Gordon Johnson on bass, this promises to be an evening of swing, sophistication, and pure musical magic. Dinner and cocktails starting at 5:30 pm. Showtime is 7:00 pm. Reservations highly recommended.
